Corporate Responsibility

Building cleaner, healthier communities around the world

"Everything we do leads to a cleaner, healthier (and) safer environment”
Holset Turbochargers have been at the forefront of engine system technology developments, delivering a 95% reduction in harmful emissions of NOx, CO2 and harmful particulates. Cummins has also taken action to lower the environmental impact of global facilities including the worldwide Unplugged Challenge saving 363,570 kWhs in 2015 at the Huddersfield Site and installation of Solar Energy and Geothermal Systems to provide energy, heating and cooling. Environment days at all sites create awareness of environmental protection amongst employees, business partners and in local communities.

“Serve and improve the communities in which we live”
In 2015, Cummins Turbo Technologies’ employees delivered over 28,607 hours of volunteering support. Community Involvement Teams at our sites worldwide work closely with community partners to improve the communities in which we live. Our focus is on initiatives that relate to social justice, education and the environment.

"Embrace the diverse perspectives of all people and honor with both dignity and respect"
Cummins aims to attract and retain the best talent and create a safe and inclusive work environment that fosters innovation. We believe that differing viewpoints enhance problem solving and decision making. By encouraging best use of talents in all employees, the Company enhances its competitive position in the marketplace and develops a positive reputation in our communities. Affinity groups and Diversity Councils provide support through initiatives such as buddy schemes to welcome new employees and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) activities in local schools that draw on ethnically diverse communities.
